Are Getting Married!

March 22nd, 2025

OUR STORY

Once upon a time in the sixth grade these two kids met in band class. One was, a curly haired saxophone player and the other was a goofy kid that sat behind her honking on a trombone. He quickly developed a fondness for her, and wrote her a note to let her know his feelings. However, in the same note, the boy decreed that they should not date now. Why? Because he was 11 and silly.

The curly haired girl and the silly boy remained good friends through the years. As young teenagers, they came up with an unofficial marriage pact "since we're just good friends," and before we knew it these kids had grown up!

Life took them separate directions for a while, but they always found  ways to keep in contact. Be it mysterious butt dialed phone calls, or needing a place to crash on their way through town; they always found a way to keep in touch.

Their love story began in 2021 after the world stopped being a little less crazy after covid. They began a long distance relationship and put many miles on their cars because anytime they was free, they would make the 300 mile journey to visit, even if it meant driving late into the night to make it happen.

After some back and forth, the couple moved in together. First in Austin, and now back to Oklahoma City where they currently live. Jacob finally asked Alanna to marry him on June 20th, 2024 at the Myriad Botanical Gardens.

They love traveling together and plan to spend their life making beautiful memories and having many great adventures.
